Three Things; Collecting Bag Challenge – Autumn Gold
The theme for this week’s collecting bag challenge was autumn gold. Little did we know what a treat of a weekend we were in for when we set, it having looked at the calendar and discovered it was the first day of autumn. Autumn gold could easily have referred to the wonderful golden sunshine!
Walking Long the tideline looking for beach glass Sue spotted this fragment of beer bottle. At first glance it may have seemed uninspiring, but when held up to the light it has such a friendly golden glow that we had to photograph it there and then.
Laura found this egg case with a mass of golden curls, we had not seen one like it before and Laura used a portraiture lens to capture the curly mess in detail.
Kris found this wonderful golden star patterned jellyfish that had been washed up on Thurstaston shore at high tide. The tides this week have been especially high and lapping up the base of the boulder clay cliffs.
If you would like to join in the collecting bag challenge then please email us or post a photograph of your finds to our Facebook wall or send us a twitpic anytime this week. We’ll upload your photos here to the blog.
We will post next week’s theme on our Facebook page on Friday.
