Three Things; Course Spotlight – Photography Late-August

Photography course at Shore Cottage Studio

August bank holiday gave us gentle breezes and bright sun light. Eve from Woolwich and Dinah from Parkgate were introduced to basic camera theory using play doh and discovered how to alter their viewfinder to suit their eyes without glasses, quite the revelation for Eve!

We had a lot of fun both carefully capturing well composed shots with a lot of thought like Eve’s seed heads and also responding in the moment to catch a once in a lifetime shot like Dinah’s seagulls.

By the end of the weekend they both had a mini portfolio of shots that they were proud of.

Happy with the photos they have taken

Eve chose to frame her chiaroscuro filled blossom image (left) and Dinah chose to frame her almost festive poppy head with bokeh (right).

Here’s what Eve and Dinah thought:

  • Thank you for a brilliant weekend. Loads of fun and I learnt so much. I will definitely be using my camera all the time now! (Eve, Woolwich)
  • Brilliant weekend, thank you so much Laura and of course Sue and Kris. Course wonderfully instructive and the company great fun – as for the food…Wow. Hope to come again. (Dinah, Parkgate)
