Three Things; Course Spotlight – Photography Mid-August
On the weekend of the 16-17th of August we had such blustery yet sunny weather for our Photographing Natural Texture and Detail course that it was almost impossible to dress suitably!
Our course participants were Father and Daughter Tony and Fiona from Buckinghamshire, Anne from Sheffield, and Kathy from Heswall. We were joined on Sunday by Celia who had previously done a photography course with us in June. With the challenging weather we couldn’t help but have fun and bond over sniffly noses and sand in uninvited places.
The photographs we took really represent the day, with long exposures of swaying grasses in some shots contrasting with specks of flying sand frozen in mid air with fast shutter speeds on seemingly serene sunshine filled seascapes in others.
The stormy winds had brought us a damaged boat to photograph and we spent time capturing its rusty cleats and peeling paint layers. We then moved on to the Wirral Country Park and the Wirral Way where we photographed autumnal rose hips and windfall apples.
