Three Things; Finds – Reindeer Marshmallow Caddy
We have found our reindeer marshmallow caddies for our Christmas Eve hot chocolates. Father Christmas bought us these for the children a few years ago but I believe that you can find similar ones (although not made by elves) at Whittard’s of Chelsea.
It has become a Christmas Eve tradition to have hot chocolate with marshmallows in these reindeer cup caddies so the smaller members of the Shore Cottage Studio team can eat them separately, add them to the drink or give them to Daddy as they see fit.
Our hot chocolate recipe this year was particularly indulgent.
A tin of sweetened condensed milk
100g dark chocolate
A good slosh of milk (about 1 – 2 ‘tins worth’)
Heat all the ingredients in a pan over a low heat and whisk to combine.
For the children add extra milk and or squirty cream, for the adults add a shot of booze or a squirt of cream. We used amaretto.
Serve in your favourite mugs.
