Three Things; Spotlight – Christmas Fairy Workshop

Christmas Craft Workshop

Today we ran a Christmas Craft Workshop for the lovely Anita. Anita collects dolls herself and was instantly drawn to one of Sue’s vintage Rosebud Dolls to upcycle.

It is hard to believe this beautiful fairy was a very sorry looking specimen this morning. Having been rescued by Sue and released from her pinned on clothes and glued on hat she was a blank canvas for Anita.

Anita needle felted new hair for her fairy carefully blending colours to give a sun kissed look! In her hand sewn couture gown this fairy is a totally unique future heirloom.

Anita’s fairy – look at those wings!

The wings were laser cut by Kris, Anita chose this large pair to complete her fairy. The silver mirror star wand is the perfect accessory!

Anita was rightfully delighted with what she had created in two hours with Sue and hopes to visit the studio again for one of our two day courses.

We have one last Christmas workshop still to come this week. You can join us on Friday morning for a two hour workshop on linocut printing. We will be creating linocut print blocks and printing gift wrap and tags. Find out more about it – click here.
