Three Things; Spotlight – Textile Course May

Explore design stitch textiles

We have had a special request by a customer to put on a textile course in May to fit in with her availability. So we have just uploaded a new bookable course date Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May to our shop.

Here is a small gallery of some of the textile loveliness produced by our ‘Explore, Design, Stitch’ course participants. Imagine what you could produce with time and space to be creative!

So what do our visitors think of our textiles courses?

“Thanks so much for a really inspiring time! Definitely lived up to your tag-line of time and space to be creative. Enjoyed all your input, very grateful for your expertise and all the informative chat. Good also to learn alongside others, lots of cross fertilisation of ideas! Great soup and cake too! Hope to keep in touch and will be encouraging anyone I can to come along. Thanks.” (Helen, Newton)

“A weekend of just being me. I have been privileged to work alongside Sue + Laura. We have collected treasure, made marks, printed + stitched. A little haven of loveliness. I feel very at home here. Thank you all.” (Gill, Wallasey)

“Wonderful two days learning lots of new techniques. Great environment with good company. I definitely feel inspired to be more creative.” (Jane, Irby)

“Lovely two days, very relaxing and interesting. Very good company and lovely cake.” (Pauline, Irby)

“I was a bit nervous of not being ‘imaginative’ or ‘artistic’ enough, but I’ve had a great time, made loads of beautifully dyed fabric, played with paint and made three interesting pieces. Thank you for the weekend of fun.” (Anne, Sheffield)

“Previous sewing skills put aside – it was time to use my imagination and set myself free from former constraints of following ‘a pattern’. Most enjoyable and inspiring weekend with delightful company and surroundings. Surprised myself at how much could be achieved. Thank you Sue and Laura.” (Celia, Meols)

“It doesn’t feel like a course, more like going round to a friend’s house and playing with their stuff.” (Katie, Newcastle)
