Three Things; Treasury – Family Project
It is the start of a bank holiday weekend and here at Shore Cottage Studio this means a family project. We thought our staircase at the cottage could do with a lick of paint and so the project began. With minimal support from various grown ups the project was led by our first born (buoyed from his success at Matt Sewell’s Art Dredge workshop)
Our eldest, a seven year old artist, sketched birds in a soft pencil on the risers of the stairs. He then painted in the shapes with white acrylic paint to form a ground.
The colours were then added with a small brush in custom mixed acrylic shades by our talented fellow.
Finally a black outline was added to make the birds stand out from the back ground.
What family DIY projects or creative projects are you doing this Bank Holiday?
(Are there any guesses as to the identity of the birds?)
