Three Things; Treasury – Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards
Last night Sue, Kris and Laura attended the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards at St George’s Hall in the Centre of Liverpool. Shore Cottage Studio was in the running for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year 2015 and we were very exited.
Here we are at the drinks reception outside St George’s Hall feeling slightly uncomfortable outside our usual jeans and jumpers attire but nonetheless having a great time. Kris took this selfie on his camera phone of us with the complimentary Gin with watermelon from the Liverpool Gin Company.
Unfortunately it wasn’t long before the posh high heels started to take their toll on our feet and so we managed to sneak inside a little early for a bit of a sit down! The hall was breath taking and swathed in bright pink light wihich was to set the tone for the evening. The meal was superb but we were almost wishing it away eager to find out the results of our category. The full list of awards and winners can be found by clicking here. We were up against the Port Sunlight Museum, Mersey Tunnel Tours and Darkstar Laser Tag. So with such big names to compete with we were very happy just to be nominated, but even so we were nervous as our category approached.
When it came to Small Visitor Attraction of the Year it was announced that as judging was so close for this category that the judges had decided to offer a ‘Highly Commended’ award (as well as the main winning award) which we were astounded to win!
Here is the framed certificate we received on the night snapped on a camera phone.
And look we get a logo to add to the website – but that will be another day as we need a little lie down!
“Thank you so much for all your best wishes and good luck messages your support means so much to us.” Laura, Kris and Sue
