Three Things; Treasury – Things we are looking forward to 2014
Our first treasury post of the year and the theme had to be ‘Things we are looking forward to in 2014’. We’ll share ours here and if you post on our Facebook wall, send us an email, tweet us a picture or get in touch with your contribution before next Friday we’ll add it here to the blog.
This is an image of Richard Deacon from the interview he gave to Art Wednesdays which you can find by following this link. Kris originally found Deacon when he studied Fine Art at University and has been a fan ever since. Kris is therefore very much looking forward to the Richard Deacon Retrospective at Tate Britain which runs from the 5th February to 27th April 2014. You can read more about the exhibition and see some of his sculptures here.
Sue is looking forward to a five week online e-course called Paper Love that she has signed up to. The course is a collaboration between Rachel Hazell and Do What You Love, it includes weeks entitled; paper, collage, word, book, mail. It looks like great fun and there are still places available.
Sue bought Laura these white tabi boots, commonly referred to as Ninja Tabi. Laura loves split toe shoes and Sue found these beauties unworn in a charity shop. Sue completed the gift with fabric pens and paints so Laura could add her own designs to customise them. Laura is looking forward to making and wearing them and is currently mulling over different designs. Any suggestions?
What are you looking forward to this year? Do let us know so we can add it to the treasury.
