Three Things; Treasury – WI Centennial Fair

Shore Cottage Studio at the WI Centennial Fair

We’re looking forward to September when we will be exhibiting, speaking, demonstrating, workshopping, and hopefully selling our creative courses at the WI Centennial Fair. The show runs from the 3rd to the 6th of September at the Harrogate International Centre and we’ll be there a full week to build up and pack away our stand.

This week has seen us turn our attention to stand design and thoughts of what visitors may like to take away with them. We asked our twitter and Facebook friends which they would prefer as a take-home from our stand…

a small flyer with details of our website and where to find out more about us AND a take home little memento with our logo and website/phone no such as a trolley coin or pen.

or

B An A4 glossy eight page magazine style brochure with lots of pics and quotes from folk who have already experienced our courses and workshops and full details of what to expect on a course alongside prices for individuals and groups.

Option B was a clear winner on social media and we are now in the midst of brainstorming ideas and deciding on which pics show us in the best light!

We have also been designing our entry to the show guide. We have decided that as a picture tells a thousand words that we should include a snap of the studio, showing off its location, to our entry and here is the pic we have chosen…

Shore Cottage Studio Thurstaston Wirral

The pic will be about postage stamp sized in the show guide and accompanied by no more than 55 words; we have chosen the following 52 words – what do you think?

“Creative courses and workshops by the sea for individuals or groups. Featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces this multi award winning Wirral artists’ studio has panoramic views to North Wales. Join us for textiles, fused glass, photography or laser etching. Family run and friendly we offer time and space to be creative.”

It is now less than two months away and we are getting very excited, are you planning on going? If so do call by stand A51 and give us a wave!
