Three Things; Works in Progress – Collaborative Stitched Sketches Continued
Sue has been working on more of her stitched sketches with Kris and Laura’s eldest, Knox. Here are three more from the series we covered in a previous blog post.
Knox provides the illustrations that Sue transfers to the fabric with pains taking hand stitching. Look at the feet on this ostrich – en pointe!
Sue rust marks the fabric to provide a habitat for each creature. This iguana blends with the background which has been rendered in muted grey tones.
This snake curls around a subtle tree formed by rust marks from a long thin piece of rusty metal.
The entire, rapidly growing, collection will be placed in our shop shortly and will available to see at the Wirral Open Studio Tour in June.
Sue runs the Explore, Design, Stitch creative course here in the studio.
