Three Things; Course Spotlight – Coast Magazine Reviews our course

Coast Magazine reviews Shore Cottage Studio Photography Course

We are very excited to announce today that our Photographing Natural Texture and Detail course is to feature in Coast Magazine! How lovely to have a course spotlight within a national magazine.

Coast Magazine in their own words;

“Coast magazine is the only publication that celebrates the UK seaside in all its glory – its landscape, its history, its attractions and its communities. Appealing to those living the coastal lifestyle and aspiring city dwellers alike, Coast captures our love of the UK’s beautiful coastline.”

Alex from Coast Magazine at Shore Cottage Studio

Coast magazine contacted us after seeing our appearance on episode five of George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces with a view to sending a reporter to attend one of our courses. Alex from Coast Magizine visited us earlier this year, and so, in the coming week the May issue will hit the shops with a four page ‘Try it Now’ feature review on Laura’s Photographing Natural Texture and Detail two day course! Here is Alex on a photography walk outside Shore Cottage Studio (our cottage is in the background, the studio itself is just out of shot)

Alex had a brand new camera on loan for the course and was a total beginner, so just the right sort of person to test out our photography basics course. Here we are on the morning of day one easing in with gentle theory and flapjacks.

You can visit our spotlight of the course Alex attended here on the blog. There you can see more photographs of Alex and the other course participants as well as a gallery of some of the shots they all took.

Alex wrote in our guest book… “Just heading down the steps to Shore Cottage Studio gives you a sense of leaving the world behind. And spending two days at this beachside haven, under the expert creative guidance of Laura and Kris, really does help you to slow down and look at the world through fresh eyes.” (Alex Reece, Contributing Editor, Coast Magazine)

We can’t wait to read her finished article and would love to hear what you think if you read it, please do comment below or on Facebook or Twitter.

If it inspires you to join us on a creative course you can check availability of the workshops and book a course click on the Photographing Natural Texture and Detail course page.
