Tomorrow is the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards where we have been short listed for Small Visitor Attraction of the year! You may remember that Laura had been doodling nautilus designs for a necklace to wear with her gown which has an asymmetric neckline.
She challenged Kris to make a necklace out of the scrappy paper prototype before the event.
And he’s done it!
The nautilus necklace has been laser cut from mirrored acrylic and then etched with shell and tentacle details. It is made in segments to lie nicely over the contours of the collarbones and it is certainly attention grabbing.
The laser etched lines are on the top surface of the acrylic and the mirror coating is on the back surface which means the lines really catch your eye as they move in front or behind their reflections as the observer moves around.
Laura can’t wait to wear it and we will be posting pics from the tourism awards tomorrow.

If you love the necklace why not commission Kris to make you something bespoke? Just click here to send us an email. Or perhaps you would like to come down and design and make your own on one of our Creative Laser Cutting courses? Sophie did just that, see her stunning necklace design on an earlier blog.
